WHO WE ARE

Join Our Journey in

Tanzania

We are Katalin and Paulo.

Together, we organize small, safe, culturally immersive trips across Tanzania, beyond the usual tourist routes. Our trips are designed for travelers who want to see Tanzania through local eyes, meet people in their homes and villages, explore markets, national parks or plantations, walk, hike, eat, visit cultural and historical sites, or just sit with Arusha coffee and talk about the stories behind the land.

We organize journeys from 1 up to 20 people, ensuring personal attention, safety, and meaningful experiences.

Every photo you see on this website is ours as a piece of memory of our adventures together.

WE LOVE BEING ON THE ROAD

Life is A Journey

A Journey is like life itself with all its adventures, joy, excitement, boredom or discomfort.

You may be surprized by hearing this from us but yes: a journey, especially in Africa, is not always within the comfort zone. Maybe you won’t be able to buy your favorite ice cream or deodorant, or you won’t like the food, or there won’t be hot water or electricity. Or you just sit at the maasai village because of the rain. Yes, this is life. And this is why we believe: the best journeys are always improvised. You will need your personality, which is flexible, tolerant, open minded and patient.

But at the end of the day you will get a lifetime experience of which it will be heartwarming to look back in the rest of your life.

THE IDEA OF UNTOUCHED WILDERNESS WITHOUT PEOPLE IS A WESTERN ILLUSION.

IN AFRICA, PEOPLE AND LAND BELONG TO EACH OTHER.

CLASSICAL PIANIST FROM HUNGARY

Music Teaches Patience and Acceptance

But what is she doing in Tanzania?

That is, without doubt, the million-dollar question.

She fell in love with the land, with its vast horizons, its history, and its quiet strength.
Katalin has long been deeply drawn to African and Tanzanian history, and to the stories that shape this part of the world. She publishes her book ‘When The Light Goes Through You’ about Tanzanian & Zanzibari history very soon.

Be careful, though — her passion is contagious.
You may arrive as a traveler and return home with a different understanding, a different emotion, and perhaps a different way of seeing Africa and its people.

BEING A MAASAI WARRIOR IN THE 21st CENTURY

WildernessTeaches Survival Skills

and Sharpens Senses

Yes, Paulo is a real Maasai warrior — a moran — who completed the traditional three-year warrior training in the bush. Nature was his school.

His knowledge and steady mind are as remarkable as his ability to solve problems calmly and thoughtfully in any situation. I have never seen him nervous, angry, or in a hurry. There is a quiet strength in him — a grounded presence that comes from deep roots.

His understanding of his own culture is profound, and he communicates with a peaceful, diplomatic clarity that makes you feel at ease wherever you are. You could not wish for a better tour leader by your side.

And as for the rest of your questions — they will be answered along the way: in the car, during a hike, or over dinner under the open sky.

Discover Tanzania From Within

JOIN OUR JOURNEY

Through Tanzania

Traveling with us means experiencing Tanzania through real connections, not through checklists.

Paulo’s local roots and lived knowledge, combined with Katalin’s curiosity and long-standing engagement with the continent, create a way of traveling that is personal, respectful, and thoughtful — never rushed, never commercial.

We move at a considered pace. We listen. We leave space for conversations, encounters, and moments that cannot be scheduled in advance. This is not about consuming places, but about being present in them — alongside the people who call them home.

If you are looking for a journey that continues to resonate long after you return, you may feel at home with us.

Whether you travel alone, as a couple, or as a small group brought together by curiosity, work, or shared interests, you are welcome here. We take time to understand who you are and what you are seeking. From there, each journey develops naturally — shaped by your interests, your questions, and the experiences you wish to carry with you.

IN TANZANIA THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS LONELYNESS. COMMUNITY IS EVERYTHING. COMMUNITY IS THE ENGINE OF HAPPY AND LONG LIFE.
